S’Illot Beach –also known as Cala Moreia– takes its name from the imposing islet (illot in Catalan) that emerges from the sea at this point. On its eastern edge, opposite the islet, you will find a few boats belonging to local and amateur fishermen tied up at an old dock.
This is where the Torrent de n’Amer flows into the sea and there is a large bridge across it. The torrent also marks the physical boundary between the municipalities of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and Manacor. The beach is easy to reach by road if you follow the signs; there is also a bus service with a stop some 50 metres from the beach.
Other facilities include sun lounger and pedalo hire, lifeguards, access for the disabled, parking areas and showers.
