During their stay at FITUR, the Tourism Consortium of Sant Llorenç and Son Servera has signed an agreement with the Fundación Ventanas del Mundo so that the Cala Millor destination is part of the solidarity tourist destinations itinerary of this foundation.Interestingly, a sculpture by Pedro Flores, located on the seafront of Cala Millor, with a window immersed in the landscape, was in 2015 the beginning of this great idea and the birth of the Fundación Ventanas del Mundo. A foundation that aims to provide the opportunity to travel to low-income people, especially children, so that they can have the sensations and experiences that they get when traveling and being on vacation.

Under this pretext, its founder, Wences Rodríguez, created a network of windows around the world, made up of all those places that want to participate in this solidarity project, offering their destinations so that these people can visit them. Now, after the signing of this collaboration by the President of the Consortium, Margalida Vives, within the framework of the tourist fair that is being held these days, Cala Millor is already part of these solidarity destinations, which ensures that children without resources can visit the municipality with a portion of the expenses covered by the foundation, which makes its collections through acts and charitable actions.

“It is a very grateful collaboration and we wanted to do it as a municipality, especially because the idea is based on a work that is within our reach and also because we believe in the values and the idea of the foundation: everyone has the right to travel. , to know the world and to open its perspective of life “, concluded Margalida Vives, president of the Consortium.
