Cala Millor is the first destination in Mallorca to obtain this quality recognition The Spanish Federation of Large Families (FEFN) has handed over the stamp of Family Tourism to Cala Millor. An acknowledgment that distinguishes and promotes the destinations and establishments that bet full family pubic, and that recognizes the effort of the destination to adapt to the needs of this type of tourism. The town thus becomes the first in Mallorca to be distinguished with this quality guarantee and the second in the Balearic Islands after the city of Ibiza.

Margalida Vives, President of the Tourism Consortium, was responsible for receiving the recognition of the hand of the President of the Spanish Association of Large Families, Benito Zuazu during the Tourism Promotion Fair (FITUR) held in Madrid last week. “Families, especially large families, have different needs when choosing their holidays. We have been working all year round to make everything easier and create products for them and at reasonable prices. ” explained Vives.

The Tourism Consortium applied for this seal last year and during 2019 Cala Millor has completed the process of adaptation and passing the different audits that are required and that evaluate the equipment and services, the marketing , the strategy and investment and the activities and leisure of the destination, and that have finally accredited the distinction. This seal means for Cala Millor the possibility of increasing its competitiveness against other destinations, the differentiation and another way of promotion that expands the values ​​of the brand. This label was launched in 2013 with the aim of locating and promoting family-oriented tourism companies, entities, activities or destinations once it has been verified that they meet the requirements to be considered as Family Tourism. .
